My Life
Growing Up I grew up as the oldest of three children in Morgan City, Louisiana — a small bayou town built around the oilfield industry, where I learned the importance of nature in the swamps that were my backyard. It was in this small town that I first learned to be independent and to solve problems as they arose. I left to attend LSU, joined Delta Tau Delta fraternity and made friendships that have lasted a lifetime. My Community For over 35 years, Baton Rouge has been where I've built my career, raised my family, and invested in my community. I've been happily married for 36 years, have two wonderful adult children, and a life anchored in faith and fellowship. For Fun Away from work, you'll find me cheering on the Tigers — especially LSU Baseball and Football — or on the basketball court working on my reliable 15 foot baseline jump shot. That belief has guided everything I've done — in the boardroom, on TV & radio, in the classroom, and in the community.
